This is an excellent opportunity to join the Sustainment Programs Finance team as an early in career Program Cost Controls Analyst within the Upper Tier Missile Defense Sustainment. The ability to be self-sufficient as well as operating in a team environment, supporting both the functional organizations as well as ensuring program financial commitments are met will be fundamental to success in this role. This role is being offered in an on-site capacity and is based on the needs of the business. The Program team supports the Eastern U.S. time zone; the hired candidate will be expected to support the same time zone.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience with EVMS (or similar processes), and/or Program Controls (Cost/Schedule)
  • Experience using Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with SAP, APEX, PRISM, BW or a similar system

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in applying Earned Value Management System
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing Estimates at Completion
  • Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Experience in developing monthly financial Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • In depth understanding of color of money policy, accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with good presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking
  • Sound analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed financial analysis supporting monthly variance reporting and support of LREs (Latest Revised Estimate)and quarterly EACs ( Estimate at Completion).
  • Participate in the control of costs and schedules on contracts that utilize product based EVMS (Earned Value Management System) through APEX/SAP EV management reporting tools.
  • Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters.
