About The Position

This position is for a Level A Auto Service Technician who performs advanced diagnostics, electrical work, engine repair, and complex drivability issues. The technician is expected to work independently on difficult jobs. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues, performing advanced repairs on various vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems), and utilizing diagnostic tools, scanners, and software for accurate issue resolution. The role requires interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer specifications, conducting thorough inspections and road tests to verify repairs, and ensuring all work adheres to manufacturer and safety standards. Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. The technician will also review and verify repair work, collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair needs and timelines, assist in prioritizing workflow, improve shop productivity, and maintain accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
  • 4–7+ years experience
  • Full tool set
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals
  • Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion
  • Ability to read and interpret repair orders
  • Must be 18 years or older

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple ASE certifications
  • OEM training (e.g., Toyota Motor Corporation, Ford Motor Company, General Motors programs)
  • Hybrid/EV certification

Responsibilities
