About The Position
Centurion is the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. This full-time Level 1 Medication Aide position is located at Jefferson City Correctional Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. The role involves administering prescribed medications and documenting their effectiveness, as well as any adverse actions or side effects, under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or nursing designee.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH), or successful completion of internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period
- Complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years)
- Maintain current tuberculosis documentation
- Maintain active CPR/AED certification
- Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Nice To Haves
- Insulin certification
- One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting

Benefits
- Pay Ranges from $20.00-$23.00 per hour + shift diff, depending on years of experience!
