About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a per-diem Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Northeast Correctional Center located in Bowling Green, Missouri. The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects. Per Diem as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
• Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).
• Insulin certification preferred.
