About The Position

The Lending System Product Owner is responsible for the strategic ownership, optimization, and lifecycle management of the Credit Union’s nCino Loan Origination System (LOS). This senior-level role ensures that the platform supports business goals across consumer, commercial, and mortgage lending. The Product Owner will lead configuration, vendor relations, reporting, and system enhancements, acting as the primary liaison between business units and technology teams. This role requires deep expertise in nCino and a strong understanding of lending operations, compliance, and system capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in lending systems, with 5+ years of direct experience administering or owning nCino or Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to lead system strategy, configuration, and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of consumer, commercial, and mortgage lending products and workflows.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in lending systems.
  • Advanced skills in business analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Salesforce architecture as it relates to nCino.
  • Familiarity with integration points between nCino and other systems (e.g., core banking, document imaging).

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in nCino or Salesforce administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the nCino LOS platform.
  • Lead the product roadmap, including upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships with nCino and related third-party providers.
  • Oversee system configuration, including workflows, dashboards, templates, and business rules.
  • Ensure platform compliance with federal and state lending regulations (e.g., TRID, HMDA, Reg Z, Reg B).
  • Develop and maintain custom forms, input screens, and reporting tools.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams.
  • Conduct release testing, change control, and documentation of system updates.
  • Provide strategic insights through data analysis and reporting to support lending operations.
  • Maintain user access controls, security settings, and audit logs.
  • Train and support end users across lending departments.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for system usage and process improvement.
  • Manage product backlog, write user stories, and lead agile ceremonies
