About The Position

The Lending Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely lien placement for all collateralized consumer loans. This position serves as a liaison between Branch Operations, dealerships, members, and other third-party partners to obtain required title documents and remedy outstanding collateral items. The Lending Clerk processes and secures lien perfection for both in-state and out-of-state transactions, obtains lien releases, and maintains documentation necessary to ensure collateral integrity. 

Requirements

  • A minimum education of a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of previous Credit Union/banking experience in the lending field, specifically knowledge of titles, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with loan documentation, collateral requirements, and lien processing preferred.
  • Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service both in person and on the telephone. 
  • Strong skills operating a personal computer, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and navigating the internet. 
  • Ability to perform accurate data input into a variety of software. 
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, exercise good judgment, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Providing administrative support to Branch Operations and Lending teams and assisting with training support for the Lien Placement Process.
