About The Position

Responsible for performing a wide variety of member services and clerical duties related to lending activities. Receives and screens department telephone calls, assists members or appropriately routes questions. Processes title work, loan maintenance, mailed in payments. Maintains insurance notices and records. Performs miscellaneous loan processing activities as assigned. Maintains department records and files.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of loan functions.
  • Knowledge of related computer applications.
  • Prior clerical experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment.
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Coursework in typing and general office skills.
  • Strong data input abilities, Well organized and attentive to details.
  • Good communication and public relations skills.
  • Ability to cooperate with and assist others.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks and manages daily vehicle and homeowner insurance notices.
  • Reviews title reports daily and matches electronic liens and titles against VINtek, follows up with dealers on any outstanding lien recordings and processes all pending title work for refinances and private party sales.
  • Processes all paid off loans, pulls loan files (if paper file), releases titles for paid off vehicles loans, satisfies liens for mortgages and maintains system of records.
  • Processes member loan maintenance and/or miscellaneous requests received by the department via eforms in a timely manner.
  • Assists members and internal staff with support functions of the department by responding to inbound calls, Microsoft Teams messages and Eltropy text messaging in a timely manner.
  • Files/Scans documents for loans.
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure and well maintained.
  • Assists Management as needed and completes special projects as assigned.
  • Processing lending-related insurance products cancellations, including GAP, MechanicalBreakdown, Payment Protection.
  • Coordinates with the related departments and obtains or conveys information as needed. Keeps management informed of area activities and or any significant problems. Attend and participate in meetings as required. Including department, Credit Union staff, and LSCU meetings.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
