About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of editors and analysts responsible for delivering high-quality legislative content across North America. You will manage people, priorities, and processes to ensure accurate and timely updates to statutory and code materials. Working collaboratively across internal and global editorial teams, you will drive operational excellence, implement process improvements, and leverage AI-driven efficiencies. The position balances hands-on editorial oversight with strategic leadership, focusing on coaching, performance management, and fostering a positive team culture. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across geographies to maintain consistent quality and compliance. The role allows for remote work, with occasional travel to support cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in legal editorial work, legal publishing, or regulatory content operations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. and/or Canadian legislation and editorial conventions.
  • Experience managing or mentoring editorial teams in a delivery-focused environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to improving delivery and quality.
  • Clear and supportive communication skills, with experience providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with managers, peers, and partner teams.
  • Comfort with editorial systems and willingness to adopt new automation and efficiency tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of legislative content, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with quality standards.
  • Coordinate acquisition, processing, and publication of statutory updates, allocating work effectively across the team.
  • Provide day-to-day management for editors and analysts, including coaching, workload planning, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, escalate risks, and propose practical solutions to maintain throughput and quality.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Product, Technology, and global editorial teams to implement workflow and system improvements.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, adopting new tools, and implementing AI-driven efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with editorial policies, documentation standards, and governance requirements.
