About The Position
Cypress Creek Renewables is a company dedicated to powering a sustainable future through the development, financing, ownership, and operation of utility-scale and distributed solar and storage projects. The Legal team provides comprehensive support across various organizational functions, including M&A, complex financings, development, procurement, real estate, construction, and general corporate governance. This internship offers a unique opportunity for the candidate to gain exposure to a wide array of legal work, collaborating closely with the company's attorneys on day-to-day activities and undertaking independent long-term assignments.
Requirements
- Current 1st or 2nd year law school student
- Demonstrated interest in renewables sector
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
- Creative problem-solving
- Highly organized and punctual
- Strong self-starter who is a team player and can work independently
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys across a broad range of legal functions spanning transactional, real estate, and contract work
- Draft ancillary documents and provide general transactional support on M&A and financing transactions
- Partner with EPC and O&M teams on contract support and related legal matters
- Work cross-functionally with project development, structured finance, and operations teams to support deal execution and project progression
- Perform diligence-related tasks
- Perform research assignments
- Organize in-house knowledge resources
