About The Position

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Legal Practice Support Coordinator in the Legal Practice Support department. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Legal Practice Support, the Legal Practice Support Coordinator will be responsible for for assisting the with department programs, projects, systems and procedures. Morgan Lewis recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements. This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Flexibility with overtime is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably in a law firm setting or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and assignments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and the ability to participate in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in and knowledge of the following software: MS-Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), WorkSite, Adobe Acrobat, Legal MacPac, Outlook, Office Communicator, iManage.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the improvement of existing, processes and systems, including administrative support for electronic/technological solutions for the department
  • Performs administrative related tasks to create documentations for various technology, software tools, and operating procedures
  • Coordinates meetings and events of all sizes, prepares agendas for same, and coordinates logistics as needed
  • Works closely with the Legal Practice Support Management Team in coordinating staff workflow and assignments for their teams
  • Monitors actions in the computerized databases, including Litigation Docketing database, West CaseNotebook, and others
  • Assists with technical operations for other groups within the Legal Practice Support department; with oversight, may assist with technical operations for groups outside of the Legal Practice Support department
  • Gains a strong understanding of the department and its various functions and develops a strong working relationship with the management team of the department
  • Provides consultation and support that contributes to the needs and business direction of the department
  • Provides high level administrative support for the department, including screening and directing telephone calls and inquiries, maintaining individual and event calendars, making travel arrangements and scheduling related activities
  • Prioritizes tasks and ensures deadlines are met
  • Handles confidential information discreetly
  • Maintains cooperative working relationships within office and Firm departments and practice groups; fosters positive working environment
  • Responds to management, attorney, client, staff, and vendor inquiries
  • Performs other duties as assigned
