About The Position

Join our team as a Legal Operations Specialist and partner directly with in‑house counsel to automate work, architect smarter legal systems, and turn operational complexity into streamlined, tech‑enabled workflows. This position is 100% onsite Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. Location: Barrington, IL. What to Expect: Manage multiple legal operations projects by executing roadmaps with defined SLAs, KPIs, and ROI targets. Serve as an operational liaison by implementing intake and triage processes, including self-service portals where appropriate. Configure e-billing to support automated invoice review and matter reporting. Perform foundational administrative duties needed to support day-to-day legal operations. Design, implement, and administer the legal technology stack (CLM, document/knowledge management, e-billing, collaboration tools). Build workflow automations and manage integrations. Lead change management to reduce repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency. Own the full contract lifecycle by building automated intake, clause selection, and approval workflows. Enable playbooked negotiation within approved parameters and escalate deviations for attorney review. Implement post-signature obligations tracking, alerts, and dashboards. Deploy and maintain templates, clause libraries, and automated review workflows in the CLM. Administer the contract repository with metadata governance, retention policies, and audit trails. Implement records automation, retention schedules, and disposition workflows across repositories. Ensure defensible compliance with policy requirements and legal holds. Support corporate governance by implementing or administering entity management software. Automate compliance calendars and filings where appropriate. Maintain subsidiary ledgers and generate board materials from system data. Administer the IP portfolio by deploying and maintaining docketing tools with automated deadlines. Lead compliance operations by implementing tools for automated evidence collection (e.g., COIs), regulatory calendars, controls testing, and remediation tracking. What You Will Contribute: Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Legal/Paralegal Studies, Business, Information S ystems, Political Science, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of legal operations experience in an in-house environment, including hands-on CLM administration, workflow automation, and legal spend/e-billing management preferred. Demonstrated experience with contract management systems and legal databases. Effective and efficient communication skills. What You Will Receive: The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
