About The Position

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Current license to practice law in the state of Nebraska
• One to three years of licensed practice of law experience, preferably with a financial intuition.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to commercial transactions, litigation, bankruptcy, commercial loan documentation, acquisitions and experience in providing legal advice and handling litigation related to financial institution experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Providing counsel on legal issues impacting the operations of the Bank.
• Assist General Counsel with asset recovery through litigation including collections actions, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, bankruptcy, and loan workouts.
• Draft legal documents, negotiate with opposing counsel, and attend hearings.
• Work as a team with outside attorneys as necessary.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of laws and legal requirements that may impact the Bank.
