About The Position

GOLFTEC is looking for an organized, efficient, eager-to-learn legal clerk to join our team. The legal clerk will assist GOLFTEC’s legal team with various legal matters, including commercial contracting, real estate, legal operations, franchising, IP, governance, risk, and compliance, and product legal matters. In addition, this role will provide support at the intersection of legal and Human Resources, assisting with labor and employment, and cross-functional projects involving people operations. This opportunity will expose the ideal candidate to all aspects of operating a full-service, in-house legal department while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across the business. You will report directly to the General Counsel. Requirements

  • Candidates must be in law school or recently graduated law school.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, diplomatic, research and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent GOLFTEC in a confident and comfortable manner
  • A proven track record to work independently and complete projects in a timely manner in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Team player, well-organized, and detail oriented
  • Interest in employment law, HR/legal operations, and cross-functional business support is preferred
  • Muse be authorized to work lawfully in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and applies legal research to business objectives and can communicate the analysis in an easily understood work product to leadership.
  • Assisting with the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements, requests for proposals and other legal documents
  • Help document key processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of various legal systems and processes.
  • Provide administrative and project support for initiatives involving Legal, HR, and other business functions.
  • Assist with review and administration of HR-related policies, forms, and compliance materials to help ensure alignment with legal requirements and company practices.
