About The Position

The Health Care Practice Group at Lippes Mathias focuses on assisting clients with navigating complex federal and state rules governing the delivery, financing, and regulation of health care services. We are seeking a determined, hard-working candidate with superior organizational skills to support the group leader and several other attorneys in the practice group.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or administrative support role in a business setting
  • Naturally upbeat, cheerful, team-focused attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and top-notch organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and to complete projects with little direction
  • Desire to foster positive, collegial relationships with peers and co-workers
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in anticipating team’s support needs and executing without being asked
  • General office and computer experience
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Experience with editing, revising, and drafting of legal documents
  • Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work product

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange meeting logistics for 5-6 attorneys
  • Create, maintain, and organize electronic files
  • Prepare transmittal cover letters and client emails
  • Save, print, and file document submissions
  • Help project track status expirations and renewals
  • Proofread and edit lengthy documents
  • Review attorneys’ monthly invoices for accuracy
  • Interact comfortably and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Prepare firm memoranda to open new matters
  • Provide other clerical support as needed
