About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to support our Litigation team. This role plays a key part in ensuring attorneys are fully prepared and cases move efficiently through the legal process. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position is in-office, not a remote opportunity. Working schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks. That’s right, off nights and weekends!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or legal coursework preferred.
  • 1–2 years of clerical experience in a law firm, court, or collections environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow structured procedures and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court rules, or litigation processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Strong time management and adaptability

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal degree or related legal experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, including reviewing schedules at least two weeks in advance
  • Prepare legal pleadings, correspondence, and case-related documents
  • Answer court line calls and route inquiries appropriately
  • Schedule telephonic conferences with clients, counsel, and related parties
  • Time and professional correspondence through email.
  • Conduct legal research as needed
  • Review, route, and organize incoming pleadings and correspondence
  • Track executed documents and ensure proper follow-up and routing
  • Communicate professionally with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, defendants, clients, and vendors
  • Present offers and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain legal assistant queue tasks and workflow organization
  • Prepare attorneys for court appearances by reviewing and organizing case materials
  • Ensure appropriate coverage and assist with balancing workload priorities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
