Come join us and make a difference! Join our team of professionals as a Legal Assistant to provide legal assistance and support to the FCCI Claims Legal unit. The selected individual will perform various legal support functions including, but not limited to, litigation management, discovery, subpoenas, preparing reports, scheduling depositions, mediations, hearings, and meetings, along with trial preparation for the in-house Florida workers’ compensation litigation practice. This role works closely with FCCI attorneys focusing on Florida workers’ compensation litigation and will handle work including drafting, reviewing, editing, and filing legal documents, preparing forms, templates and pleadings, and other organizational and transactional functions. This individual will also schedule meetings, court hearings, and mediations, manage calendars, generate reports, and maintain updated documentation of processes and procedures. This individual will maintain documentation and data for reports that can be retrieved quickly and on demand, and will create regular reports from internal systems. It is expected that this role will communicate well with outside vendors, judicial staff, and law firms as well as with internal customers and colleagues. This role supports a fast-paced environment and must have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Position is based at Corporate Headquarters in Sarasota, Florida and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule of three (3) days in-office and two (2) days working remote.
