About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support the Legal Operations Manager in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and the initiative to work independently across a variety of legal and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with corporate filings, contractor licensing, and administrative legal support, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree OR Paralegal certificate/equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of legal assistant, corporate compliance, or related experience preferred
  • Background in licensing and corporate filings strongly preferred
  • Experience in construction, industrial, or multi-state business environments
  • Familiarity with compliance tracking systems or contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and process-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Legal Operations Manager with daily legal and compliance tasks
  • Prepare, file, and track corporate filings (LLCs, corporations, annual reports, registrations, etc.)
  • Support contractor licensing applications, renewals, and compliance tracking
  • Maintain organized records of licenses, registrations, and corporate documents
  • Draft correspondence, forms, and internal documentation
  • Coordinate with state agencies, internal departments, and third-party service providers
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely submissions
  • Assist with document management and contract administration tasks
  • Provide administrative support for legal and compliance initiatives
