Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients
  • Typing speed of 65+ WPM with high accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Background in real estate, finance, or title company work preferred
  • Familiarity with document management systems, iManage is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organize and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail
  • Prepare memoranda to open new legal matters
  • Record documents in public records across Florida counties
  • Occasionally file documents using the Florida State E-Filing Court system
  • Maintain and monitor critical dates and deadlines using calendaring tools
  • Assist with billing and expense reporting
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed
