About The Position

Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Legal Administrative Assistant for our Denver office.  This position will provide administrative support to primarily Government Contracts and Litigation lawyers in a highly collaborative working environment. This is a hybrid position; 3 days in office, 2 days remote.  Responsibilities  Responsible for complex legal document preparation, editing, and document management Proofread client materials, working with the document author to provide suggested edits Perform file maintenance working with the file management system Work with Billing Coordinator to ensure accuracy and compliance with often complex client billing requirements Cooperate with the Client Services Manager to assist with outstanding invoices and account receivables Collaborate with timekeepers, proofread, input and/or verify billable time entry Complete electronic court filings Review and process incoming/outgoing mail Maintain client contact, in-person and over the phone Book and organize travel arrangements and reimbursements Handle administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information These duties may be ongoing or ad-hoc in nature Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements for this position

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Litigation and/or Transactional experience in a mid to large sized law firm and be proficient in legal secretarial and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, document preparation, proofreading, filing, time entry, expenses, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance
  • Must be familiar with local court rules
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage a high-volume workload
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a commitment to provide excellent client service within a team-oriented environment
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook (including utilization of styles and pleading to format documents), Excel, and PowerPoint; must exhibit strong typing skills and can learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs
  • Availability for overtime is required
