About The Position

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Teach undergraduate Japanese courses, primarily at the beginning and intermediate levels (4-4 course load: eight courses per academic year) face-to-face on campus in Boone Actively support the Japanese program through co-curricular activities (e.g., language tables, cultural workshops) Contribute to departmental service and engage with the broader campus academic community Minimum Qualifications MA in Japanese or a closely related field (in hand by time of appointment); Doctorate in relevant field required for appointment as Teaching Assistant Professor Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English Experience teaching Japanese at the college level
