About The Position

The International Relations Program at Pomona College invites applications for a temporary, part-time Lecturer in international political economy for academic year, 2026-2027. The position has a teaching load of one course in Fall 2026. The course will be International Economic Relations, an international political economy course broadly conceived that does not require macroeconomics or microeconomics prerequisites.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or ABD
  • Employment is contingent upon providing proof of the legal right to work in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 for the duration of the contract, August 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026.
  • For the fall semester, the contract start date is from August 1 through December 31, 2026, with instruction beginning on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrable experience teaching as a graduate teaching assistant or instructor of record.
  • Syllabi are also welcome but must be included in the single PDF file.
