About The Position

The AACSB-accredited College of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for a full-time non tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Economics to begin Fall 2026. Preferred candidates will have teaching interests and experience in several of the following areas: M acroeconomics, M oney and B anking, B usiness and E conomic Forecasting, E conometrics, U.S. E conomic H istory , and Public Finance . Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience teaching macroeconomics, money and banking, and/or business and economic forecasting, including online delivery. Qualified candidates who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, student advising, professional development, intellectual contributions, and service in an inclusive and diverse environment are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• MA/MS in Economics or a closely related field
• Teaching experience in at least one of the following areas: M acroeconomics, M oney and B anking, B usiness and E conomic Forecasting, E conometrics, U.S. E conomic History, and Public Finance

Nice To Haves

• PhD in Economics or a closely related field
• Evidence of teaching excellence and ongoing scholarly or professional engagement
• Teaching interests and experience in several of the following areas: M acroeconomics, M oney and B anking, B usiness and E conomic F orecasting, Ec onometrics, U.S. Economic History , and Public Finance
• Experience developing and teaching Macroeconomics, B usiness and E conomic F orecasting, E conometrics, and/or related courses in online or hybrid formats, ideally using software such as STATA, R, and/or Python

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate economics courses, including possible online and hybrid assignments.
• Advise and support students in ways that promote retention, engagement, and academic success.
• Contribute positively to the department, the College of Business, and the broader university community.
• Perform other duties consistent with the role.
• The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in working with a diverse student body and supporting student success in undergraduate economics education.
