The Mathematics and Statistics Department at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for four (4) full-time non-tenure track positions at the rank of Lecturer II (M.S. degree required) or Teaching Assistant Professor (Ph.D. degree required). The positions begin on July 1, 2026. The positions are intended to support the teaching of core mathematics and statistics classes required for all undergraduate students. Duties of these positions include teaching a variety of undergraduate mathematics and/or statistics classes in small and large sections including co-requisite classes, supervising and mentoring teaching assistants, holding office hours, developing syllabi, creating assignments, writing exams, maintaining a Learning Management System presence (e.g. Canvas) and an online homework system presence (e.g. Cengage and Pearson), performing department, college, and university service. Other duties may be assigned by the department chair as necessary. Research is not expected for these positions.
