About The Position

Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami is inviting applications for a full-time Lecturer position in the Department of Business Technology starting in the Spring 2026. The post-holder will provide leadership of the School’s teaching activities in Business Technology. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can teach a variety of technical class areas of teaching need including PYTHON, Data Base (SQL), Tableau, AWS (Cloud), PM and JAVA at a high level of proficiency. Candidates must have a terminal degree in the areas of MIS, Technology, CS or related fields from an accredited school or university and demonstrated experience and excellence in teaching. Responsibilities also include: Instruction of 8 courses (24 credit per academic year), lecturing, leading class discussions and conducting other teaching activities during scheduled classes; creating, administering and grading using appropriate assessment methods; holding office hours and providing additional support for students outside the class time periods; calculating and submitting grades for all students; collaborating with the chair and faculty of the Business Technology Department to create coursework or support the department’s mission; following established expectations and protocols for the department and to stay current in the field. Associated faculty are not expected to conduct research, but this is an encouraged activity. Please note, the position is not tenured earning.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a terminal degree in the areas of MIS, Technology, CS or related fields from an accredited school or university
