POPULATION SERVED The position does not involve direct patient care for a population of patients ages 18 and older. POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Coordinator performs a wide variety of clerical and technical and office duties. He/she will provide customer service and answer questions from employees regarding leaves and benefits. The Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing employee leaves and benefits administration across facilities.

Requirements

  • This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Human Resources setting is preferred but not required.
  • Must have knowledge and skill in using computer software with emphasis on basic word processing and spreadsheet applications in Windows environment, as well as, skill in operating various office equipment.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with employees, the public and management in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Prefer 1-2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Employee Benefits: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Coordinate open enrollment processes and assist employees with benefits inquiries and concerns. Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Process Protected Leaves of Absence: Guide employees through the leave application process, including eligibility requirements, documentation, and timelines. Coordinate with managers and HR partners to ensure proper coverage and compliance during employee absences.
  • Maintain Employee Information: Enter and maintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data privacy regulations. Update employee records with changes in status, benefits elections, and other relevant information. Generate reports and analyze data related to employee benefits, leaves, and compliance metrics.
  • Benefit Invoice Audits: Review and audit monthly insurance carrier invoices for all facilities (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, etc.) for accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies such as incorrect charges, or double billing. Monitor and reconcile billing for employee life events (e.g., new hires, terminations, dependent changes). Coordinate with HR, payroll, and insurance carriers to correct billing errors Maintain accurate records of all invoice audits, and adjustments.
  • Assist with HR Projects and Initiatives: Support HR team members in various projects, such as policy updates, training initiatives, and compliance audits. Participate in cross-functional collaborations to improve HR processes, systems, and employee experiences. Stay informed about changes in employment laws, regulations, and industry trends related to benefits, leaves, and workers' compensation
