Job Summary The Benefits Manager, Leaves manages the daily operations of the leave administration function, ensuring accurate administration, strong compliance, and exceptional service to employees and internal stakeholders. This role provides guidance to benefits staff, collaborates with vendors, and supports the development and execution of leave administration that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Experienced knowledge of compliance with ERISA, IRS laws and current regulations pertinent to FMLA and ADA

Nice To Haves

  • Above average computer skills in a networked environment with advanced knowledge and skills using all MS Office products, advanced skills in Excel required
  • Oracle HCM experience a plus
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with all levels in the organization; Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the administration of various leave programs such as FMLA, disability, and other leave policies, ensuring consistency with company policies and legal requirements
  • Provides guidance and support by serving as a subject matter expert, advising employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements, and answering their questions regarding leave of absence
  • Coordinates with Third-Party Administrators for disability and other leave-related matters, ensuring smooth processing of claims and timely payments
  • Provides coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team growth and effectiveness
  • Ensures compliance to all applicable laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and USERRA, ensuring that leave programs are compliant and consistent
  • Other duties as assigned
