About The Position

LEASING OFFICE INTERN- Summer Season (June, July, and August) We're seeking a full-time Leasing Office Intern for the summer season to join our busy leasing office at an apartment community in Cambridge, MA. This internship provides hands-on experience in property management, including leasing operations, resident services, and administrative support. You'll work alongside our management team to learn the fundamentals of multifamily property management while providing essential support to our leasing operations. You'll handle phone inquiries from prospects and residents, process rental applications, assist with office operations, and gain exposure to all aspects of property management including renewals, collections, and leasing. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in real estate, property management, hospitality, or business to gain practical industry experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated
  • Available to work full-time during the summer season (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday)
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional phone manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Interest in real estate, property management, hospitality, or related fields
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Reliable and punctual

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls from prospects and residents in a professional and friendly manner
  • Collecting information and answering questions from prospective residents
  • Reviewing, responding to, and delegating emails from residents, applicants, and vendors
  • Processing rental applications including running credit checks and collecting required documentation from applicants
  • Learning about property management operations including renewals, collections, leasing processes, and resident relations
  • Supporting the management team with various administrative tasks and special projects as needed
  • Maintaining organized filing systems and updating resident records
  • Providing excellent customer service to all prospects and residents
  • Observing property tours and leasing presentations
  • Assisting with resident events and community engagement activities as needed
