About The Position

Responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new and existing training content that leverages adult learning theory to develop effective training programs. Manages the Fortera Library, including creating and maintaining the organization-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Library, ensuring accurate content is uploaded to the LXP/LMS. Serves as an internal consultant on design and implementation of strategic project initiatives regarding people, systems, and structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, Human Resource Management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CTT or ATD Certification required; or must be able to obtain within 18 months
  • Knowledge of adult learning training techniques, systems and resources.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office.
  • 4 to 7 years’ progressive experience in training-related positions.
  • Accurately assesses cultural environment, exhibiting emotional intelligence and appropriate sensitivity while maintaining individuality.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Responsive to internal and external inquiries.
  • Ability to write clean emails, simple correspondence, training manuals, handouts, and step-by-step training procedures.
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.
  • Ability to effectively influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to speak in public, at ease moderating or presenting to both large and small groups.
  • Ability to effectively engage trainees in discussions during educational sessions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attentive-to-detail.
  • Ability to use a PC, related software and standard office equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment and work in a cooperative manner with others.
  • Displays leadership and appropriate decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills demonstrated by timely task completion and quality deliverables.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain effective and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.

  • Local hybrid role with an office located in Clarksville, TN.
  • Ability to travel to various locations to train as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Knowledge or understanding of learning theory standards such as SCORM and AICC, as they relate to eLearning courses in an LMS.
  • Proficiency in multimedia tools including Camtasia, Canva, and Articulate.
  • Understanding of job functions and operations at all levels of the Credit Union.
  • Prior banking/credit union experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Symitar system knowledge.
  • 3 years’ successful training and content development experience preferred.
