Curious and innovative problem solvers looking for the chance to meaningfully shape the future of cardiac health, our company, and your career About This Role: We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented Learning Experience Designer to serve as a senior individual contributor on our Learning and Development team. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end design of complex, enterprise learning solutions that support leadership development, onboarding, and other high-impact learning initiatives aligned to business priorities. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in adult learning and instructional design, paired with the ability to translate organizational strategy into scalable, measurable, and application-focused learning experiences. You operate as a thought partner and advisor to stakeholders, independently shaping learning approaches, setting design standards, and influencing program direction through data, insight, and strong design judgment. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong visual and narrative design skills, comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment. While healthcare or med-tech experience is a plus, what matters most is your ability to drive enterprise learning impact through thoughtful design, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, or Learning Experience Design, with demonstrated ownership of complex learning solutions.
  • Advanced expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design, with the ability to apply principles strategically at an enterprise level.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact learning strategies and experiences.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint for visual storytelling; experience with Articulate Rise or Storyline strongly preferred.
  • Experience working independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, polished work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or shaping leadership development, onboarding, or enterprise learning programs.
  • Strong familiarity with learning analytics and using data to guide design and program decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design, development, and evolution of complex learning solutions aligned to enterprise and functional priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic learning partner within the People, Culture, and Experience (PCE) team, primarily supporting Learning & Development initiatives, with expanded scope to collaborate on key company culture and talent initiatives.
  • Translate business strategies, leadership capabilities, and organizational goals into scalable learning architectures and experiences.
  • Independently determine learning strategies, instructional methods, and delivery modalities based on learner needs, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Design and develop learning experiences grounded in adult learning principles that promote comprehension, retention, and real-world application.
  • Create interactive, visually engaging learning assets (toolkits, facilitator guides, digital modules, videos, presentations) using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Articulate Rise, and Storyline.
  • Apply design thinking and adult learning concepts such as relevance, self-direction, feedback, and reinforcement to create learning that drives behavior change.
  • Use varied modalities (live virtual sessions, self-paced learning, microlearning, job aids) to meet learners in the flow of work.
  • Lead the design and ongoing evolution of leadership development and onboarding learning experiences with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and AI-assisted workflows (e.g., generative text, AI video, adaptive learning tools) to accelerate design and prototyping while maintaining instructional integrity.
  • Design modular, reusable templates, frameworks, and assets to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across programs.
  • Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles (inclusive language, captioning, usability standards) to ensure learning is usable by all employees.
  • Partner closely with L&D colleagues, People, Culture & Experience, HR partners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact learning initiatives on time and within scope.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying learning needs, risks, and opportunities, and recommending solutions.
  • Maintain clear alignment with stakeholders through strong communication, expectation-setting, and problem-solving.
  • Provide informal mentorship, guidance, or design review support to other learning designers, contributing to overall team capability.
  • Establish and uphold design standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistent quality and learner experience across programs.
  • Apply strong writing and editorial skills to ensure clarity, accuracy, and a consistent learner voice across deliverables.
  • Define, interpret, and use learning effectiveness data (e.g., engagement, completion, knowledge application, behavior change) to inform program decisions and improvements.
  • Manage learning content within platforms such as Workday Learning or SharePoint; perform light video editing as needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve learning experiences, integrate new tools, and streamline processes to increase impact and efficiency.
