About The Position

The Learning & Development Specialist plays a key role in building and delivering development programs that support team members across all levels. This role operates in both design and execution, contributing to program concepts and ensuring training is implemented effectively. You will partner closely with HR and business stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop practical learning solutions, and deliver engaging learning experiences. You will also support leadership development initiatives, engagement survey insights, job analysis efforts, and the tracking and analysis of learning and compliance data to inform continuous improvement. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience supporting, developing, or delivering training or learning programs in an organizational setting.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles and practical instructional design approaches, including how to structure training for clarity and engagement.
  • Experience facilitating training or supporting delivery (virtual and/or in‑person), with confidence presenting to groups.
  • Comfort working with data such as engagement survey results, participation metrics, or completion reports to inform learning and role clarity decisions.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to job analysis, job documentation, or role definition work in partnership with HR or managers.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including subject matter experts and cross‑functional partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting engagement surveys, pulse surveys, or people analytics in partnership with HR.
  • Experience supporting learning programs in a technical, SaaS, or fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience supporting learners across the US and Canada.
  • Familiarity with any LMS or learning platform (administrator experience helpful but not required).
  • Familiarity with basic e‑learning tools or templates and comfort working with SMEs to build job aids and learning assets.
  • Fluency in Canadian French (major plus).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to support the design and rollout of development programs aligned to business needs and team member growth.
  • Support needs analysis efforts to identify knowledge, skills, and behavior gaps across the organization and within functional teams.
  • Develop and deliver engaging learning experiences including live training, workshops, job aids, and e‑learning modules using a variety of learning methods.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and update learning materials, ensuring accuracy and relevance to company and industry requirements.
  • Help evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, knowledge checks, and other evaluation methods, and make improvements based on data and input.
  • Support analysis of engagement survey results and related people data to identify learning trends, capability gaps, and development opportunities.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to translate survey insights into targeted learning actions, reinforcement activities, or program enhancements.
  • Assist with preparation of summaries, dashboards, or reports that connect engagement, development activity, and learning outcomes.
  • Track participation, completion, and basic effectiveness metrics for learning programs and help identify patterns or improvement opportunities.
  • Support job analysis activities by gathering input from managers and incumbents to understand role responsibilities, skills, and capability requirements.
  • Assist with drafting and updating job descriptions to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with business needs and internal standards.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to help ensure job descriptions reflect current role scope, learning expectations, and career progression.
  • Maintain documentation related to job roles and learning requirements to support development planning and workforce initiatives.
  • Support implementation of leadership skill and behavior programs by coordinating sessions, assisting facilitation, and creating supporting learning tools.
  • Partner with HRBPs and leaders to support learning experiences that reinforce career pathways, development, and succession planning.
  • Monitor and track completion of required compliance training and support follow‑up communications to drive timely completion.
  • Partner with HR and legal stakeholders to support updates to compliance training requirements as needs evolve.
  • Coordinate with external learning vendors when needed, including scheduling, logistics, and basic program support.
