About The Position

The Coborn’s Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist plays a key role in equipping employee-owners with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to support operational excellence and long-term business success. As the Learning and Development Specialist, you will own and support the design, delivery, and administration of impactful learning programs that strengthen onboarding, role-based training, and ongoing professional development. You will partner closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure learning initiatives are engaging, aligned to business needs, and results driven.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field, or two or more years of experience in a Learning and Development role, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and bring to life small to mid-sized learning and development initiatives—from initial discovery through successful launch—ensuring timelines are met and stakeholders feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.
  • Facilitate dynamic instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning experiences that spark engagement, strengthen skills, and create meaningful, lasting learning moments.
  • Deliver welcoming, high-impact onboarding and role-based training programs that connect new hires to our culture, values, and employee ownership mindset from day one.
  • Design and develop creative, learner-centered solutions—including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and practical reference tools—that empower employees to perform at their best.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to uncover training needs and transform operational goals into impactful learning experiences.
  • Keep job-specific training documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) clear, current, and easy to use, coordinating regular reviews to maintain accuracy and relevance.
  • Seamlessly manage training logistics—from scheduling and communications to materials preparation and participant tracking—creating a smooth and positive learner experience.
  • Champion accountability by monitoring required training completion and partnering with leaders to support timely follow-through.
  • Use training data and insights to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends, and continuously enhance learning programs.
  • Maintain and optimize learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and strong version control.
  • Connect with field and operational teams to gather feedback, measure impact, and uncover new opportunities to strengthen workforce capability and performance.
