About The Position

The Learning & Development (L&D) team supports employee growth and organizational capability through training programs, onboarding, and continuous learning initiatives. We are expanding our ability to make data driven decisions—and we’re looking for an intern who is excited about turning learning data into meaningful insights. We are seeking a motivated Learning Analytics Intern who is passionate about data, reporting, and demonstrating impact. You will work closely with the L&D team to analyze learning engagement, assessment performance, certification outcomes, and program effectiveness. Your work will directly inform leadership decisions and help shape the future of our training programs. This internship is ideal for students studying data science or analytics.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field.
  • College Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with datasets
  • Proficiency with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts)
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Ability to communicate data insights clearly to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and interest in how people learn.
  • Self-directed and takes initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LMS reporting or educational data
  • Experience with automation (Power Query, Power Automate, Python, or R)
  • Experience working with JSON and REST APIs
  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Experience with Python or JavaScript and their associated visualization libraries
  • Knowledge of research methods or program evaluation
  • Interest in learning science, instructional design, or talent development

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and analyze learning data from systems such as: LMS activity logs Assessment and certification data Survey responses and qualitative feedback
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports using tools such as: Excel Power BI or similar BI tools LMS reporting feature
  • Identify patterns and trends in learner behavior, performance, and program usage.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for L&D stakeholders.
  • Support the development and tracking of metrics such as: Time to proficiency Assessment outcomes Program completion rates Learning impact and ROI indicators
  • Prepare executive ready visualizations, one page summaries, and data narratives.
  • Recommend opportunities for improving course design, onboarding pathways, and certification processes based on data.
