Role Summary We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer who is energized by building engaging, scalable learning experiences from the ground up. In this role, you’ll design and evolve training programs that prepare and support our volunteers—ensuring they feel confident, capable, and ready to engage in high-impact conversations. You won’t just build courses—you’ll help shape learning journeys, certification pathways, and systems that strengthen readiness over time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a build-and-improve environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and brings both creative learning design and strong stakeholder partnership to their work.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning experiences or programs
  • Strong application of adult learning principles in practice
  • Experience using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar)
  • Experience working within or building content for learning management systems (LMS)
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive learning design
  • Experience creating or editing written, video, or multimedia content
  • Ability to develop visually engaging learning materials (e.g., Canva or similar tools)
  • Experience managing projects, timelines, and deliverables
  • Reliable High-Speed Internet Required: Must have a stable high-speed internet connection to support seamless remote collaboration, virtual meetings, online job tasks, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in psychology, education, or a related field (through academic or professional work)
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish or experience working in multilingual environments
  • Experience managing or evaluating curriculum, learning programs, or training initiatives
  • Experience adapting or localizing content for different audiences or environments

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging, high-impact learning programs—not just individual courses
  • Create content for new volunteer onboarding and ongoing education
  • Apply adult learning principles to create meaningful, memorable learning experiences
  • Develop structured learning journeys, assignments, and certification pathways
  • Continuously improve content through iteration, feedback, and evolving needs
  • Conduct learning needs analyses to inform program design
  • Define success metrics and evaluate learning effectiveness
  • Design assessments (formative and summative) that measure competency and readiness
  • Build scalable frameworks, templates, and standards for learning design
  • Play a key role in LMS migration and optimization
  • Design learning experiences directly within LMS platforms
  • Ensure content is accessible, well-structured, and scalable
  • Bring a systems-thinking approach to how learning is delivered and experienced
  • Collaborate closely with clinical, learning & engagement, and subject matter expert teams
  • Translate complex or sensitive content into clear, engaging learning experiences
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver programs
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including timelines, milestones, and communication
