About The Position

In the initial years, this position will focus on reestablishing our learning centers across five locations in the Columbus area. An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to build programs from the ground up are essential. Over time, the role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all learning center programs, including supervision of site coordinators and staff. Key responsibilities include developing and approving curriculum, programs, and schedules; managing budgets and fiscal operations; and contributing to grant writing efforts. The role also involves cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with local public schools, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army's mission and ministry
  • Bachelor's degree in Education required
  • Highly organized and motivated to achieve goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and initiative
  • Current first aid, CPR, communicable disease, and child abuse training
  • A valid Ohio Driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Education, preferred
  • State of Ohio Teacher Certification, preferred
  • Previous Grant Writing Experience, preferred
