Loomis Chaffee School is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Learning Access and Student Achievement (LA&SA) to join our community for the 26-27 school year. The position provides academic support and encourages the development of students’ study skills and self-advocacy. This position carries significant responsibility for supporting students with diagnosed or documented learning differences, as well as those requiring additional assistance due to background or current challenges. The learning support specialist manages a caseload of students, reports to the Director of Learning Access and Student Achievement, and serves as a resource for both faculty and the student body. In combination with teaching and other duties, this is a full-time, ten-month position. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the life of the school in other ways, such as coaching, residential life, or leading other activities. The Loomis Chaffee School is a four-year, coeducation, college-preparatory, boarding school located on a 300-acre campus in historic Windsor, Conn.
