Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Business Process Consultant to work in our Business Transformation group. In this role, you will collaborate with business partners, leadership, and key stakeholders across the enterprise to identify, define, and improve business processes. You will be responsible for complex systems process analysis, and improvement recommendations, using a wide degree of creativity and latitude. A successful candidate will understand organizational business systems, industry requirements, and have a familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures. This is not an entry level position; a successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience leading complex and/or enterprise level process improvement initiatives. This position is located in our Cincinnati office and will work on a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience is required.
  • 5+ years of Business Process improvement experience is required
  • Certification within a process improvement discipline is required, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize, organize and manage work to satisfy established timeframes.
  • Able to breakdown complex problems into actionable solutions focused on high value customer needs.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to travel 10% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Property and Casualty Insurance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and reengineer processes, with an understanding of technical and workflow problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
  • Consult and lead initiatives with leaders across business functions to identify opportunities, generate ideas, develop, and implement solutions to create new processes or improve existing processes and technologies.
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate changes to impacted Business Teams.
  • Recommends and facilitates process improvement efforts.
  • May act as project manager in some cases.
  • Leverage practical knowledge and understanding of recent technology, tools, solutions and trends to improve work results, solve problems and take advantage of business opportunities.
  • Utilize data and analytics for measurable outcomes that drive action.
  • Meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations while cultivating relationships and trust.
  • Coach Lean practitioners in the application of Lean methods across the enterprise.
  • Participate in development and delivery of Lean training to all levels of the enterprise.
  • Support business teams to manage, facilitate and positively experience change.
  • May support other Business Transformation practices including Organizational Change Management facilitation and initiatives.
  • Performs individual contributor work under limited supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
