About The Position

The Leadership Support Coordinator provides direct support to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, as well as high-level support to Braille Institute’s leadership team in advancing the organization’s mission. This role blends executive support with project support, ensuring that leadership is positioned to focus on vision, fundraising, and impact, allowing operations to run smoothly and effectively. The individual will act as a trusted partner, managing critical priorities, streamlining workflows, and supporting strategic planning and execution. The individual serves as a trusted partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, supporting board relations, donor engagement, and cross-departmental initiatives that strengthen the organization’s effectiveness. The ideal candidate is proactive, tech-savvy, self-directed, highly organized, a strong communicator, and able to anticipate needs before they arise. Represents the organization’s mission, vision, and image to both internal and external constituents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related field, or related experience.
  • 3–7 years of experience in executive support, project management, and experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with boards, donors, and community stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, judgement, integrity and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (Google Workspace / Microsoft Office), project management software (Asana, Trello, Monday.com), Artificial Intelligence, and Customer Relationship Management systems.
  • Creative, analytical, and problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Chief Executive Officer’s and Chief Financial Officer’s calendars, communications, and meeting preparation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and talking points for donors, board, and partner communications.
  • Participate in conducting research, gathering data and analysis, and draft briefing materials to inform leadership decisions.
  • Assist in tracking progress toward organizational goals and preparing dashboards and status reports.
  • Prepare and organize materials for meetings, including agendas, presentations, reports, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate travel, logistics, and event participation for leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, distributing materials, and ensuring minutes are recorded, finalized and archived.
  • Track and follow up on action items from board and committee meetings.
  • Support board engagement by preparing updates, presentations, and donor cultivation materials.
  • Support leadership with the planning, coordination, and monitoring of cross-departmental initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and that deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Serve as liaison between leadership and team members, fostering clear communication and collaboration.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Anticipate needs, proactively problem-solve, and identify opportunities for improving efficiency.
  • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, community partners, and funders.
  • Help ensure consistent messaging and mission alignment across communications.
