About The Position

The Leadership & Development Coordinator supports the execution of Butterfield’s training, culture, and leadership development systems. This role is the lead supporting role for the Leadership & Development Director to ensure training programs run smoothly, leadership expectations are reinforced daily, cultural standards are consistently upheld across all locations, and administrative tasks are completed for the department. The Coordinator is the day-to-day, on-the-ground presence for the Leadership & Development department working in the markets, kitchen, commissary, café, delivery, and office environments.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, facilitate, or assist in daily and weekly training sessions including onboarding, Passport Program sessions, cross-training, and role-specific workshops.
  • Support the execution of the Management Training Program by scheduling sessions, preparing materials, tracking attendance and progress, and coordinating logistics.
  • Provide on-the-floor reinforcement of training concepts (customer service, communication, leadership behaviors, Butterfield Experience standards).
  • Observe training delivery by internal trainers and provide feedback to the Director on training quality, consistency, and engagement.
  • Maintain and update training guides, handbooks, workshop materials, and digital resources.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees with questions about training requirements, development paths, and upcoming workshops.
  • Help prepare communications, reminders, and leadership updates for managers.
  • Maintain training calendars, leadership meeting calendars, and project timelines.
  • Support HR with culture-building programs, employee engagement initiatives, and annual events as needed.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing performance data, surveys, and feedback for quarterly leadership reports.
  • Act as a daily ambassador for Butterfield’s values, expectations, leadership behaviors, and customer service standards.
  • Support team-building activities across markets, kitchen, delivery, café, and office teams by coordinating logistics, materials, and participation.
  • Help monitor cultural alignment across departments and provide observations to the Director on communication patterns, engagement, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Encourage and reinforce Servant Leadership habits, positivity, and collaboration among team members.
  • Provide real-time support to managers around communication, feedback delivery, team alignment, and customer service behaviors.
  • Help identify team members who may be strong candidates for growth or additional development.
  • Gather feedback from departments and relay insights to the Director to support leadership coaching, culture building, and succession planning.
  • Support collaboration between markets, kitchen, commissary, delivery, café, and office teams by assisting with scheduling, communication, and follow-up on shared initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating cross-training days, manager swap programs, and corporate office-in-the-field days.
  • Ensure consistent messaging is delivered across all departments during Director off-site weeks.
