About The Position

We equip leaders for tomorrow, inspire new ways of thinking, and build critical capabilities through targeted interventions, including working sessions, workshops, offsites, and more. As a Strategy Execution Consultant at the Director or Senior Director level, youll work directly with leaders from the worlds leading and largest corporations. Youll learn how their strategies and businesses work, and youll shape capabilities across the organization. We work in small teams to develop designed experiences - think customized business simulations with financial models, or app-based digital learning, then we facilitate these engagements with our clients in working sessions that incorporates humor, fun, and competition. Youre the team leader and client manager as well as the facilitator and coach who makes these experiences impactful and memorable. There are no industry verticals at BTS, and you will work with a variety of clients on different types of projects. Youll be staffed on multiple engagements at one time, across different industries, and with different internal teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across our companys areas of expertise: Strategic Alignment, Business Acumen, Sales & Marketing, and Leadership Development. When youre not facilitating an offsite with your team, youll spend your time leading the team in designing these amazing experiences - interviewing clients, conducting research and analysis, testing programs, and learning as well as finding and closing opportunities to expand BTS work with existing clients or bring our impact to new clients. As a Director or Senior Director at BTS, a significant part of your role is to be an entrepreneurial-minded business generator who drives results and revenue for BTS. Project and account leadership are also important components of your work at this level, as well as being a manager and growing the careers of other BTSers. We have a hybrid work environment with expectations of being in the office 50% of the time when youre not traveling. As for travel, we do that differently than most consulting firms: youll travel when you are leading clients through the designed experiences you and your teammates create. On average youll travel 30-50% of the time, occasionally more than 50%, occasionally less than 30%.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum eight years' experience in consulting, or ten years of work experience in a relevant industry
  • Experience in a revenue generating or account management role as well as in project leadership
  • Eligibility to work in the US permanently without sponsorship is required
  • Uses business and operating model knowledge to position all BTS client work
  • Translates client operating model insights to solutions and services
  • Establishes scalable processes, evaluates efficiency measures and owns continuous improvement recommendations and implementations
  • Establishes quality standards and quality assurance processes for scale and for BTS excellence
  • Evolves and simplifies design methodology and approaches to maximize impact
  • Creates processes for continuous improvement
  • Qualifies client work to decide what to codify and scale across BTS
  • Frames the essential client problems with the client
  • Leverages data from multiple sources to generate and communicate ROI for client and insights on performance, predictive potential and culture
  • Uses productive dialogue to challenge the clients assumptions in a respectful way
  • Synthesizes complex client or team conversation progressing the topic
  • Delivers difficult messages to the client and to BTS teams
  • Suggests ways the client can be more successful
  • Claims accountability for delivering client outcomes, value, and quality
  • Scopes projects accurately and identifies the right project skills
  • Plans and executes complex projects
  • Coaches other project teams on excellent project leadership; facilitates project kick-offs and close outs
  • Identifies project team risks and makes recommendations to solve
  • Set expectations, provide resources and hold project teams accountable for managing scope, meeting quality standards and navigating team /client conflict
  • Role models and teaches great project leadership values and behaviors and acts as a safety net for project leaders
  • Makes it safe for each person to ask for and give feedback
