Operations Support Team Join the Operations Support Team and help drive the success of Bell’s manufacturing operations. This team plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate numerical control (NC) programming for machining parts, assemblies, and tools. As a Leader of NC Programming, you’ll oversee a team of NC Programmers and ensure the creation and execution of NC packages that meet Bell’s high standards for quality, cost control, and schedule adherence. Your leadership will directly contribute to Bell’s ability to deliver innovative aircraft solutions to customers around the world. What you’ll be doing as a Manager of NC Programming Lead a team of union personnel deployed to a designated Center, ensuring day-to-day programming activities are executed efficiently and effectively. Collaborate with the Site Lead for Operations Support to align programming tasks with operational priorities and resolve challenges as they arise. Plan, schedule, and assign work to personnel in the group, ensuring completion of tasks per schedule and maintaining efficiency. Oversee the creation of NC packages for shop floor execution, ensuring accuracy and adherence to predetermined tolerances. Interface with manufacturing operations to ensure smooth workflows and address production issues. Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager of NC Programming on team performance and progress. Coordinate the activities of the NC Programming team with other groups, departments, and personnel across the company. Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members, ensuring they stay current with the latest technologies and practices.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of NC programming, machining processes, and tooling technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize work and adapt to dynamic operational environments.
  • Skilled communicator, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with shop personnel, internal teams, and external customers.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems and manufacturing methods, ensuring technical accuracy in programming outputs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and quality standards to meet organizational objectives.
  • Inquisitive and driven individuals with a passion for innovation and leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant relevant work experience in NC programming, machining, or aerospace operations may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Familiarity with math through trigonometry and analytical geometry, engineering materials, processing technology, and manufacturing methods.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years production or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
