About The Position

The Lead Training Coordinator at GE Vernova is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance technical capability, safety awareness, quality execution, and operational effectiveness across GE Vernova’s world class manufacturing facilities. This role delivers a combination of hands on, shop floor training and structured classroom instruction to enable consistent, safe, and high-quality manufacturing operations. The Lead Training Coordinator reports directly to Sr Manufacturing Manager of Production Quality but will partner closely with HR, Operations, Production Quality, EHS, Engineering, and various Leadership teams to ensure training initiatives align with GE Vernova’s business objectives, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement strategy. We are seeking a Training Coordinator to help (work within a team of 6) develop a highly skilled manufacturing workforce within our world‑class production facilities. In this role, you will design, implement, and deliver technical training programs that support safe, high‑quality manufacturing operations. You will work cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality, EHS, and Engineering teams to ensure employees are trained to GE Vernova’s standards while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related education field, or equivalent experience as a Site Training Engineer or Training Coordinator.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing both hands‑on technical training and classroom instruction.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and training to work instructions and standard work documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development Design, revise, and maintain comprehensive training curricula for Wiring Technicians, Mechanical Assembly, Electrical and Mechanical Testing, Inventory Control, and other manufacturing and support functions. Update training materials to reflect changes in technology, equipment, processes, quality standards, and regulatory or compliance requirements. Support onboarding, certification, and recurring training programs to ensure skill sustainability and workforce readiness.
  • Hands‑On Technical Training Deliver hands‑on technical training in live production environments using factory equipment. Train employees to accurately interpret packing slips, execute the Bill of Materials (BOM), and read and understand engineering design and assembly drawings. Collaborate with the Quality Management System (QMS) team to develop, approve, and ensure adherence to operating procedures. Create and/or revise standard work instructions, validate cycle time requirements, and ensure teams complete all required quality inspections and verification documentation.
  • Classroom Training Deliver engaging, structured classroom‑based training sessions that clearly communicate key concepts, processes, and performance expectations. Utilize a blended instructional approach, including instructor‑led lectures, facilitated discussions, demonstrations, visual aids, and real-world manufacturing examples to support diverse learning styles and improve knowledge retention.
  • Assessment and Evaluation Support the responsible functional area in evaluating training effectiveness using participant feedback, knowledge assessments, on‑the‑job performance observations, and operational metrics (quality, safety, productivity, and compliance). Identify skill gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities and implement enhancements to training content, materials, delivery methods, and frequency to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination Collaborate with department leaders and functional teams to assess current and future training needs based on job requirements, process changes, and performance data. Develop targeted, role‑specific training solutions aligned with operational priorities. Coordinate training schedules to align with production plans, staffing levels, and shift coverage, minimizing operational disruption while maximizing participation.
  • Compliance and Safety Training Integrate EHS, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements into all training programs. Stay current on applicable industry standards and internal GE Vernova policies to ensure training content remains compliant and effective.
  • Mentorship and Development Provide mentorship and guidance to trainers, assistant training engineers, and subject matter experts. Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence across the manufacturing organization.
