About The Position

The Lead Trainer is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking all training activities for plant employees while evaluating the progress and effectiveness of new hires throughout their development. This role plays a key part in supporting the training process with an emphasis on promoting teamwork and continuous improvement, fostering a positive learning culture both in the classroom and in daily plant operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • No relocation provided; candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Greenwood facility
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software including Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), AS400, DMM, MQ1, eSafety, SharePoint, and Enovia
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to ensure smooth, efficient transition of trainees onto the plant floor.
  • Conduct 30, 60, and 90‑day process checks to evaluate new employees.
  • Maintain ownership of trainee/trainer tracking systems, documentation, and overall training processes.
  • Partner with the training team to develop and deliver approved training courses.
  • Provide consistent support to trainees to ensure their success and effectiveness.
  • Promote and reinforce the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) throughout training and ongoing development.
  • Collect and analyze data from the annual training needs assessment for plant personnel, in coordination with the training team.
  • Assist in creating and delivering training programs and projects based on site assessment results.
  • Support the Training Supervisor with New Employee Orientation.
  • Provide training support across both front-end and manufacturing areas, including standard, annual, and ad hoc trainings.
  • Work safely and perform other duties as assigned within the training function.
