The Lead Teller will welcome members into the branch and provide friendly, helpful service that promotes financial well-being and consistently sets a positive example. This role involves initiating and opening new memberships and accounts, providing information on regulations and policies, and promoting, selling, and referring TruStone products and services. The Lead Teller will also expertly process a variety of routine financial inquiries, transactions, and service requests, and train branch staff on these activities. They are responsible for meeting established Credit Union and Branch goals through active participation in sales programs and ensuring Tellers perform their jobs in conformance with TruStone process and procedure.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:15am – 5:45pm and rotating Saturdays 8:45am – 1:15pm at our Cudahy Branch; non-exempt.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of cash handling experience or experience serving customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and training skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good decision-making skills and judgement.
  • Ability to perform calculations and possess proficiency in basic math skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.
  • A professional and friendly appearance and demeanor.
  • Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations preferred.
  • Experience training others, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Tellers are performing their jobs in conformance with TruStone process and procedure.
