About The Position

As a Lead Technician Maintenance, and under supervision, you will be called upon to perform any and all duties consistent with assuring that dsm-firmenich products are of consistent and high quality. You will do this by assuming responsibility for set-up, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing tooling and their related equipment while maintaining a clean, secure and a safe work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position preferred. Medical Device manufacturing or GMP related industry.
  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude
  • Universal refrigerant license
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to provide information to others by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to participate in multifunctional and multi-departmental teams.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience working with machinery, tooling for products/processes in a medical device environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, repair, calibrate and maintain new and existing manufacturing tooling and equipment.
  • Develop and update maintain procedures as necessary.
  • Train assembly technicians on the operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Complete entries in Preventative Maintenance Logbooks and Faciliworks program.
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to trouble shoot manufacturing process problems.
  • Organize and maintain spare parts inventory for completing timely calibration/repairs on all equipment
  • Assist with general facility issues relating to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services to maintain proper working conditions.
  • Maintain non-production equipment, which supports production.
  • Organize and maintain spare parts inventory for completing timely repairs on all equipment.
