About The Position

Under general supervision, the Lead Surveillance Agent observes gaming and operational areas using video surveillance systems to ensure laws, policies and procedures are being followed and maintained. This role monitors VLT activity, reviews VLT data contained in the Surveillance areas of ACSC, and maintains an understanding of sensitive key systems. The agent is also responsible for delivering internal and external guest service, observing and reporting gaming violations and thefts, assisting the Supervisor in training and developing personnel, and motivating and supervising staff in the Supervisor’s absence. The position requires operating monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions, maintaining video surveillance of the entire casino property, video recording gaming and security-related incidents, and participating in court actions related to violations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
  • Must have 20/20 corrected vision
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to effectively supervise operators in the absence of the Supervisor
  • Ability to observe and direct actions of Agents in the absence of the Supervisor
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Two years of surveillance experience or casino experience in security, table games, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position

Responsibilities

  • Observe gaming and operational areas using video surveillance systems to ensure laws, policies and procedures are being followed and maintained
  • Monitor VLT activity
  • Review VLT data contained in the Surveillance areas of ACSC
  • Maintain an understanding of sensitive key systems
  • Deliver internal and external guest service by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look Sharp, smile & greet the guest. Be friendly, polite & use courteous language. Provide especially timely & knowledgeable service; always find solutions to guests’ problems)
  • Observe and report any and all gaming violations and/or thefts of Belterra Park property
  • Assist Supervisor in training, developing, monitoring and leading personnel in such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture
  • Motivate and supervise staff in Supervisor’s absence in order to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives
  • Operate monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions
  • Review VLT and data contained in the Surveillance areas of ACSC to protect company assets and funds
  • Maintain video surveillance of the entire casino, i.e., gaming, cage, food and beverage outlets, parking lot, parking garage, racing, outbuildings and shops
  • Video record gaming and security-related incidents within the realm of monitor room video recording and surveillance capabilities
  • Participate in any court actions relating to violations at Belterra Park in order to represent facts as obtained by the department
  • Learn and use GCA Transaction Data, Halo, DSX, ID Center, Micros, DSL, and Perspective
  • Learn all procedures and possible cheating/theft indicators regarding finance, gaming, food and beverage operations, and Mutuels
  • Maintain regular attendance in conformance with the standards which may be established by Belterra Park from time to time
  • Comply with Belterra Park policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities
