About The Position

This role is for a senior-level sales representative at AT&T, a global leader in communications and technology. The primary objective is to drive revenue growth by strategically managing client relationships, generating new and existing sales, and delivering AT&T products, services, and solutions to address customers’ strategic business priorities. The position involves an advanced understanding of sales principles, practices, products, and services, managing large, complex sales with light supervision, and being responsible for higher-than-average sales quotas or territories. Sales employees will focus on acquiring new business and conducting customer visits in the field. When not in the field, collaboration with the team from an assigned office location is expected, if available. The role contributes to AT&T's mission of connecting families, communities, and businesses with products and services like 5G and Fiber, fostering innovation and transformation within the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 8+ years of related sales experience.
  • Product knowledge and experience selling wired services and solutions.
  • Proven track record of success in identifying, developing, and closing opportunities in large complex accounts.
  • Ability to understand and provide complex network solutions through collaboration with clients and internal resources.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Current sales experience within the past 2 years.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, advanced data analysis, leverages extensive experience, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, build, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Understand client needs and utilize consultative skills to close sales, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • May deliver tailored presentations to clients.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to generate new opportunities and expand/retain existing accounts.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • May develop and submit detailed responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities.
  • May support resolution of customer disputes and accounts discrepancies, providing effective solutions to billing, installation, and other customer issues.
  • Meet with customers and engage in sales activities at customer site.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. related to proposed solutions/sales.
  • Travel to/from the customer premise for sales activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on technical sales issues.
  • Advise customers on suitability of products based on technical needs.
  • Prepare proposals/presentations/bids, including developing pricing/strategic plans and proposed solutions/sales.
  • Research/develop solutions with AT&T external partners, including design/engineering.
  • Research customer business/industry to identify new sales opportunities.
  • May introduce new products, lead training, and mentor colleagues.
