A growing, forward-thinking organization is seeking a technology-driven Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys improving processes, and has a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close. The right candidate will also have a passion for automation and be interested in progressing into an Accounting Manager role in the future.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience (GL, reconciliations, month-end close)
Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
Demonstrated use of automation tools or workflow optimization
Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience with Yardi
Prior experience in multi-site, healthcare, real estate, or service-based environments
Leadership or mentoring experience

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows)
Oversee general ledger functions: journal entries, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close
Conduct financial and variance analysis to support leadership decision-making
Support AP and AR teams with escalations and process improvements
Maintain compliance with income, sales, and payroll tax reporting requirements
Maintain and enhance internal controls
Assist with external audits and prepare all supporting schedules
Prepare monthly reporting packages for leadership
Participate in financial review meetings with operations teams
Mentor and support accounting staff
Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures
Monitor cash flow and assist with liquidity planning
Support department-wide and company-wide special projects
Help modernize and streamline accounting workflows using tools such as: Vena Power Automate Power BI Alteryx Excel Macros
