About The Position

The Solutions Consulting team at Braze is a powerhouse group of technical storytellers, operating at the intersection of technology and storytelling in a sales setting. Braze Solutions Consultants blend the “art” of storytelling and sales with the “science” behind how the technology tactically delivers value for customers. During the sales process, they help "make it real," aiming to build prospective customer confidence in Braze's capabilities and team. This Lead Solutions Consultant role is for the Americas-based team, serving as a trusted advisor to prospective customers by bringing extensive product expertise, strategic vision, and best practices. The goal is to lay strong foundations, beginning pre-sales, for long-term partnerships. This role is a critical member of the team, acting as a technical thought leader across industry verticals, customer types, and geographic markets. It offers an opportunity to expand thought leadership skills while partnering with Braze’s sales, marketing, security, and product teams, drawing upon experience in Pre-sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Customer Success. The Lead Solutions Consultant will also serve as a mentor to other Solutions Consultants on the team.

Requirements

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills coupled with unparalleled follow-up skills, leaving people with the impression that you are really listening to them and understand their problem
  • Known for being a “team player”
  • High level of intellectual curiosity
  • Experience selling into accounts with a sophisticated Pre-sales Consulting or Sales Engineering team
  • Domain knowledge of two or more of the following: SaaS, Mobile, APIs, Marketing Automation, Direct Marketing, Marketing Analytics or Programming (even just HTML)
  • Experience in Pre-sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Customer Success

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical thought leader across industry verticals, customer types, and geographic markets
  • Partner with Braze’s sales, marketing, security, and product teams
  • Serve as a mentor to Solutions Consultants on your team
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers during the sales process, bringing extensive product expertise, strategic vision, and best practices to bear
  • Strive to lay strong foundations, beginning pre-sales, for a long-term partnership between Braze and customers
  • Help "make it real" during the sales process, with the aim of building prospective customer confidence in Braze's capabilities and team
