About The Position

Experienced Motorhome Service Technician Motorhomes of Texas, a luxury motorhome dealership, is growing and in need of Experienced Service Technicians. We are looking for individuals with previous experience diagnosing and repairing Motorhomes. The technician plays a very important role in our business by providing excellent repair and maintenance services for luxury motorhomes. We are seeking individuals who are dedicated to and take pride in diagnosing, repairing and continuing to build their skills. COMPENSATION: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour. IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE MOTORHOME TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE.

Requirements

  • Experience with plumbing, woodwork or carpentry, mechanical and electrical work including 12V and 110V.
  • Good disposition and excellent attitude
  • Dependable, thorough and detail orientated.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Applicants should have some of their own tools.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose electronic problems and determine how to correct them, checking wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary
  • Update system software and confirm functionality.
  • Perform proactive and emergency repair and maintenance on a variety of electronic audio-visual components.
  • OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) and CAN (Controller Area Network) tool use, experience, and understanding to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Install equipment and accessories such as stereos, navigation equipment, communication equipment, and satellite systems.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Motorhomes of Texas standards.
  • Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clock procedures.
  • Document work performed on the repair order and document test procedures/results.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
  • Ensure the customer’s motorhome is returned to them as clean as it was prior to service.
  • Perform chassis repairs (Airbags, shocks, wheel bearings, etc.)
