This person will work heavily in Active Directory and user migration to other domains. This critical role necessitates working independently and as part of a team. We seek a self-starter who is a critical thinker and problem solver, as these qualities are crucial for the role. The role involves researching, analyzing, and effectively resolving problems to meet established performance metrics for the Windows platform in a timely manner to support the business. You will collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. We are looking for a candidate who understands the dynamic nature of IT and is ready to adapt to change. The successful candidate should be able to support on- and off-site users in a call center or business center regarding Windows Server, DHCP, DNS, storage, and associated application support.

Requirements

8+ years’ server experience.
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school, or equivalent experience and training.
This is a partial onsite and partial work-at-home position.
Windows Server Operating System Build Configuration and Troubleshooting
Windows and Active Directory Server Engineer and all related technologies
Group Policy Creation, Editing, and Troubleshooting

Hardware: Installed, Configured, maintained, and troubleshoot server hardware from any one vendor (IBM, HP, UCS, Nutanix, and Dell Hardware)
OS Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025
Good Knowledge of Server Compliance.
Understanding of VA gaps and remediation
Virtualization platforms such as VM Ware and HyperV
The role will require some On-Call availability and occasional work during non-business hours and on weekends.
Flexibility in work timing and being available on call for remote engineers when needed are not just additional responsibilities but critical aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Server Engineer, you will provide technical support, configurations, setup, and troubleshooting for a broad range of Windows servers, the active directory environment, and related technologies.
You will be tasked with creating and maintaining complex Powershell scripts.
You will maintain documented procedures for Windows Infrastructure and collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems.
This person will be responsible for various tasks and duties related to day-to-day activities, problem and issue resolution, and projects.
Day-to-day activities may include scripting and coding, setting up and maintaining physical and virtual servers, creating and modifying GPOS and OUs, creating and modifying DHCP scopes and options, supporting a virtual environment, DNS, and developing and maintaining documentation.
The engineer will support a large environment of Windows Servers, PowerShell scripts, multiple Windows Domains, tools, and applications.
